New! We're excited to share that Access offers domain-based and topics of interest communities for members, including COVID-19; Coding; CDI; Privacy and Security; and Data Analytics. Access will also feature new communities for robust and supportive discussions on topics such as:

• Compliance

• Advocacy and Public Policy

• Health Information and Technology

• Patient Identification and Matching

• Payors and Providers

• Trending Topics

• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

• Career Resources

Each Component State Association (CSA) will have a dedicated Access community. In addition, private Access communities are also available for volunteer-based programs; for AHIMA trainer programs like ICD, CDI and Revenue Cycle; for educators.

So, what's Access? Access is an up to date, modern, robust social media platform where members can engage with AHIMA, fellow HI professionals, and other content. You can join communities based on your type of work, professional interests, and much more.

4. You don’t have to be on your computer to take advantage of Access – its mobile-friendly interface looks great on phones and tablets.

5. On Access, you can follow topics that interest you using your favorite #hashtags. For example, following #PatientID will allow you to see posts with that hashtag.
